Capability Memorandum

What does an entrepreneur do?  An entrepreneur increases the lower levels of productivity to higher levels of productivity.

What is capitalism?  It is not about the growth of capital!  It is about the expansion of cooperation among strangers.  A capitalist is just one of many (all) types of people who is extremely capable at expanding cooperation among strangers.  In doing so, a capitalist will by necessity deploy capital.

Is America a capitalist country?  No!  America is a Capablist country.  Inside a Capablist country all people reach their highest level of capability.  They reach their highest level of capability by having full knowledge of their circumstances, knowing the best and worst cases in all circumstances, planning their division of labor, and the path to a conclusion.

As part of an ongoing process, RL will start and continue having regular Owner-to-Owner conversations with all consultants, contractors, and for that matter, sellers and buyers at the appropriate level.  The reason for doing so is to assure that knowledge transfers between the parties at the owner-to-owner level.

The essence of our relationship from contractors and consultants to Champion will change.  In the past we have assumed we will deliver to our contractors and consultants The Champion Experience™.  That has been done and we have not been fully respected for that.  In the future we will require every consultant and every contractor to deliver to us their version of The Champion Experience™.  In G-Con’s case that will be delivering projects to us through G-Steps.  Everybody else will either have a written or an unwritten process that we can satisfy ourselves will provide a “Champion Experience” by the contractor or consultant to Champion.  We then lever that delivery of an experience to Champion with The Champion Experience™ from the advocates and provide the very best experience to our clients.

Knowledge will include the needs of the parties – one to the other.  One need that Champion has that will be expressed clearly is that Champion has a zero tolerance for mistakes and a zero tolerance for excuses from anybody.

We understand mistakes will happen and that nobody is perfect, but we all must take a zero tolerance attitude toward those mistakes and, in doing so, take full responsibility for them.  Excuses are unacceptable.  One can either make excuses or make money.  We will not accept excuses.

If an event, whether it be a schedule change, a cost change or any matter which affects a Champion relationship (or an event that was to occur on a particular day does not occur, which will give rise to a schedule, cost or relationship change of more than one day), then, the trigger point must be notified from Owner-to-Owner.  Champion can then take the appropriate steps to assist in obtaining the information (or the permit or whatever) at the earliest possible time.  For example, an excuse that the county did not issue a letter necessary in one week and took them seven weeks is just that, an excuse.  If we would have been notified within the first week that it appeared that the letter might not be forth coming, Champion might have been able to use relationships and get the letter at an earlier time.  The delay is simply an excuse unless all parties at all levels have the knowledge of the circumstances and all parties at all levels have taken every step appropriate to overcome the situation.

In all situations Champion will develop a program of what are the best circumstances should the action be taken and what are the worst circumstances if the action is not taken, and then determine the appropriate plan and path.

What is Champion’s overall goal in the foregoing?  It is for predictable, productive and profitable operation for not only Champion, but for all contractors and consultants, sellers of land and buyers of product, tenants and others with whom Champion has relationships.
