Never personalize a negative feeling

It is key that we never personalize a negative feeling to the relationship.  As hard as that might be, and as many times as I fall off that wagon, every time we personalize a situation (and I did it over the month of May with one of our partners) we take the transaction further and further away.  By personalizing means you don’t face the person face-to-face.  By not facing them face-to-face, deals just don’t get done in a positive fashion or even in a fair enough fashion.
