Prosperity and its connection to Time

The metric of prosperity is time.  This has been the case since commerce started.

It is evidenced by the massive prosperity we have achieved by the exponential increase in computing power always at a lower cost.  Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel, was absolutely correct when he said, “the processing speed of a microchip doubles every eighteen months while the cost is cut in half.”

No one likes this recession.  In time, the recession will allow more people to prosper.  Housing prices have come down dramatically.  As the recession ends and prosperity continues, more people will be able to buy their American dream at lower prices.

Given a free market, all will be well.  Our concern today in the United States has to be assuring that we maintain our markets and that they remain free.
